Bel Voce News

December Voices
# November 06, 2009

Amidst the flutter of falling leaves, Bel Voce is busy in rehearsal with the sounds of the Christmas season. For our annual holiday treat, we've chosen a lovely blend of classical sounds and contemporary delight with a couple of rousing ethnic pieces to get your feet tapping. We are so happy to welcome back one of our favorite guests, James Hontz on classical guitar accompanying the beautiful Of a Rose, a Lovely Rose. Surrounded by glowing candlelight you'll be immersed in the spirit of the season. Check the concerts page for information and make sure you purchase your chances for the beautiful diamond necklace (see below for details) graciously offered by Mountz Jewelers to help support the magic of the music. We'll see you in December!

Water, Water Everywhere
# October 15, 2009

Bel Voce is delighted to perform a reprise of its highly acclaimed program about rivers, lakes, rain, and anything else having to with water, on October 25th at Baughman's United Methodist Church in New Cumberland as part of the Deborah Vowler-Posner Concert Series. Music includes English and Scottish folksongs by Ralph Vaughn Williams, an arrangement of Singin in the Rain sure to bring visions of Gene Kelly, and some river songs that will touch your heart including Deep River and Bel Voces signature Shenandoah

My father-in-law, a Navy submarine commander, was in tears over many of the water songs. The song selection was brilliant!
