Jeanne Bruce
Bel Voce accompanist Jeanne Bruce has been with this talented chamber ensemble for the past fifteen seasons. During that time she has had the opportunity to work with many gifted artists who have performed with the group as quest musicians.
Mrs. Bruce has served as a free-lance musician and accompanist for many musical organizations, including Central Pennsylvania Youth Opera, Harrisburg Opera, Open Stage of Harrisburg, Theatre Harrisburg, and Capitol Dinner Theatre. She has been piano accompanist for numerous festivals, including the American Choral Directors’ Boyz Noyz, many high school musicals and concerts, as well as for student and adult vocal and instrumental soloists.
In addition to her accompanying duties, Mrs. Bruce serves as organist for Paxton Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg. She recently retired from the West Shore School District, here she taught elementary general music. In March 2009 she coordinated an artist in residency program at Highland Elementary School with Stuart Malina, conductor of the Harrisburg Symphony, as the artist in residence.
Mrs. Bruce studied piano with Merle Freeland and William Fairlamb and is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College.
